Last Updated: November 28, 2025

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how the SignoWise Google Plugin ("the Add-on," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our Google Docs add-on.

Developer Information

Information We Collect

1. Document Content

  • What we collect: The content of the Google Document you choose to send for signing, which is converted to PDF format.
  • How we use it: The document content is transmitted to the SignoWise service for signature processing only when you explicitly click "Send Document."
  • Storage: Documents are sent directly to the SignoWise service and processed according to their privacy policy. The SignoWise service only stores the document til the signature process is complete.

2. User-Provided Information

  • Store Name: You can optionally provide a store name, which is stored in your Google account's user properties and included as metadata when sending documents.
  • Customer Email Address: You provide a customer email address when sending a document, which is included as metadata with the document sent to SignoWise.

3. Authentication Credentials

  • What we collect: The add-on uses authentication credentials to communicate with the SignoWise API. The credentials are provided by the administrators during the add-on setup.
  • How we use it: The credentials are used to authenticate API requests to the SignoWise service.
  • Storage: Credentials are securely stored in Google's Properties Service.
  • User data: We do not collect or store your Google account credentials or any other personal authentication information.

4. Technical Information

  • Logging: The add-on logs error messages and operational information to Google's logging infrastructure (Stackdriver) for debugging and service improvement purposes. These logs may include error messages and workflow identifiers but do not include document content.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected to:

  1. Provide core functionality: Convert and send your Google Docs to the SignoWise signing service
  2. Insert signature fields: Place signature placeholder images in your documents at your request
  3. Personalize experience: Remember your store name preference for future document submissions
  4. Improve the service: Analyze error logs to diagnose and fix issues
